Guatemala Posts and Telegraphs asks us to inform the designated operators of other Union member countries that, as it is currently facing staffing difficulties, it has accumulated a backlog of parcels. To enable it to deal with this backlog, it is suspending the inward and outward transmission of international mail with effect from 15 April 2017.
The designated operators of other Union member countries are therefore asked to hold back any mail destined for Guatemala until further notice.
Guatemala Posts and Telegraphs thanks designated operators for their understanding; it will inform them via EmIS as soon as the situation is back to normal.
Its International Department will be happy to answer any questions that designated operators may have.
